Description
“Kanelos” is an elegant two-pitch sport climb (80 m total) on excellent-quality limestone. The route follows a vertical slab with technical footholds and beautiful balance moves. The main difficulty is in the first pitch (6a), while the second (5b–5c) is easier and ends at a comfortable belay with a lovely sea view. The protection is well placed (9 bolts in total), and the belays are solid but without rings. An ideal sport route with character, combining technique and enjoyment.
Access
Access from Kryoneri via the path leading to the Horseshoe sector. The trail is clear and uphill, providing easy access to the base of the wall. “Kanelos” is located on the left side of the area, next to “Pitsa.”
Approach time: 30 minutes
Recommended Equipment
Two 60 m ropes (or one 80 m rope for rappelling).
10–12 quickdraws.
1–2 slings or long quickdraws to reduce rope drag.
Helmet.
