Description
“The Beautiful One” is a traditional or semi-trad multi-pitch route, about 200 m long and divided into five pitches, following one of the most distinctive arêtes of the Rubicon sector. The difficulty reaches 6a, with beautiful technical moves on vertical sections and balance across small ramps. The line requires experience in placing natural protection, as there are no fixed bolts. The climbing is varied — from gentle traverses to short cruxes in thin cracks. The rock is of excellent quality, compact and grippy, with outstanding friction. The exposure increases significantly on the upper pitches, offering the full Varasova experience, combining technicality and breathtaking views.
Access
From Kryoneri, follow the established trail to the Rubicon sector, starting near Agios Nikolaos. The path is clear, steadily uphill, and well-marked. “The Beautiful One” is located in the left section of the crag, near the routes “Rubicon” and “Shining Path.”
