Description

"Rilken" is an imposing multi-pitch of five pitches, total length 200m, that combines sport and traditional character. The first pitches are more technical (6a–6b) on slab and cracks with few bolts, while the upper sections require natural protection with friends and nuts. The rock is rough and solid, with a beautiful line that follows natural cracks and ramps to the top. The route offers continuous exposure, beautiful views and requires experience in rope management and placing additional protection.

Access

From Kryoneri, follow the path towards the Spider sector; "Rilken" is located in the rightmost and upper part of the cliff, below a characteristic rock hollow, near "Pop Corn". The path is uphill and well-trodden, with a short final ramp to the base.

Approach time: 50 minutes

Recommended Equipment

2 ropes 60m (for rappel and managing rope drag).
Set of 10–12 quickdraws for the existing bolts.
Full set of friends (small–medium) and nuts.
Slings and cordelettes for reinforcing belays.
Helmet.
Light backpack with water and basic rappel gear.
