Klassiki Kopsi
The Klassiki Kopsi of Varasova
The Klassiki Kopsi, is perhaps the most famous and historic climbing route of Mount Varasova. Opened in the 1950s–1960s, it became a landmark in the history of Greek climbing. The route follows a natural ridge that rises dramatically above the sea, combining moderate technical difficulty with exceptional aesthetics and a stunning panoramic view.
The climb offers constant variety on solid limestone, with comfortable belay stations and enjoyable movements throughout. The view over the Patraic Gulf and Mesolongi lagoon is spectacular, especially at sunrise or sunset. The Klassiki Kopsi is an ideal introduction to Varasova’s big wall routes — a journey through history, rock, and the timeless spirit of adventure.
Note:
The routes in this area are not equipped with bolts or belay stations.
Climbers must ascend using their own gear and at their own discretion.
