Description
“Looby Loo” (5c, 155 m) was opened on May 1, 2001, by Slovenian climbers T. Tisler and J. Buh.
The line lies inside the large Horseshoe, between the pillars of the routes “Zoi” and “One Year After.” The sector faces west, so the routes stay in the shade until late afternoon and are sheltered from strong winds. However, due to abundant vegetation, the best time to climb here is in autumn, when the grass has dried out.
For a repeat ascent, a set of nuts, friends, and slings is necessary. There are only two fixed pitons on the route.
Descent:
Walk along the large ledge southwards until reaching the marked path leading to the rappel stations. The closest rappel line is that of “Afrikana,” though other rappel routes or walking down are also possible.
