Description
“Pinocchio” was opened in April 1999 by A. Theodoropoulos, Th. Michailidis, and P. Kotronaros.
The line is densely bolted, even on the easier sections, making it an excellent recommendation for new climbers and climbing school graduates.
Some sections — such as the dihedral of the 3rd pitch — had been climbed previously as a mistaken variant of “Road of Flowers.”
The 3rd pitch dihedral and the wall of the 4th pitch are the most beautiful parts of the route.
The final pitch is considered the key section of the climb.
Only quickdraws are required, though a few nuts may optionally be placed between bolts.
Descent is done by two rappels down the same route (R4 and R2).
