Description
"Lost Highway" is one of the most demanding single-pitch routes at Spider. In its 40 meters it combines sustained intensity, small holds and precision moves on absolutely vertical rock. The climbing starts powerfully, passes through an intense crux in the first third and continues with technical steps on slab to the belay. The rock quality is excellent, with tight bolts (19 total) and a clean line. The route requires power, endurance and good mental control – one of the classic challenges for advanced climbers at Varassova.
Access
From Kryoneri, climb the well-known path towards the Spider sector. "Lost Highway" is located in the upper part of the cliff, right of "Science Friction" and near "Pop Corn". The approach is uphill with a solid rock path and a short final ramp at the base.
Approach time: 45 minutes
