Description
“Nikolakis” (IX+, 170 m) was opened and first climbed in February 2008 by K. Roussos and Nt. Kozanitis. The opening, which began in 2004, was completed after four visits, with the assistance of G. Benisis.
Although highly demanding in difficulty, the route was opened from the ground up, and is dedicated to N. Panayiotakopoulos, who tragically lost his life in a car accident in 2006.
The line lies between “Bright Path” and “Vasiliki Matthaiou”, starting about 50 m to the right of “Bright Path.” It offers sustained, technical climbing on solid limestone and has fully equipped belays, all suitable for abseil descent.
